This is our first time working with Marlon's coffee, though we are sure he needs no introduction as he his coffees have been everywhere this year. We were connected to Marlon's coffee through Unblended, with whom we work closely every year in sourcing coffees from Urrao and Huila. The team at Unblended sent us Marlon's Gesha to sample among a slew of other offerings, and on the table, it stood out blindly against all the rest very impressively. In the cup we are getting a pronounced floral jasmine, a bright tart and tropical fruit profile of pineapple and key lime, and a dense, sugary and orangey finish that reminds us of those creamsicle ice cream pops. We are privileged to continue working closely with Unblended, and also to now be buying coffee from Marlon. We look forward to the seasons ahead and further exploring Marlon's exceptional work!

Coffee cherries are selected by density, and fermented inside enclosed tanks for two days. The coffee is then depulped, and undergoes an additional two days of fermentation again inside enclosed tanks. The coffee is then washed clean and dried carefully to reach desired moisture content.
